At Saint Joseph's RC Junior, Infant and Nursery School, we empower every child to become the best version of themselves, knowing they are stars who shine with Christ's love. Our vision is to nurture children who understand their place in the world, grow in faith, learn with hope and belong to our connected community. We aspire to be a beacon where every child discovers their own light and potential through faith-based education.

 

Through Gospel Values, we continue the mission begun by our founders. Guided by compassion, we reach out to one another with kindness. Through humility, we learn to listen and understand. With forgiveness, we heal and grow together. In service, we reach beyond ourselves to make a positive difference in our community and the world. We create a supportive learning environment where every child is valued and encouraged to grow.

Our school recognises the individual gifts of each child: knowing that they are unique gifts from God and creating a welcoming space where differences are respected and individual strengths are celebrated. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where learning is an adventure. Since our founding in 1874, we have proudly served the Shaw and Crompton community. For 150 years, we have been a beacon of Catholic education, inspiring generations of local children to develop not just knowledge, but character. From 1874 to today, we continue to serve, to teach, to love - staying true to our founders' mission: to provide a faith-based education supporting each child in discovering their own light, their own potential.
